I know this works with Internet Explorer 6, if this works with any other browser, tell me.
There's a way to add your own interest. So you thought it was impossible, but now you know your wrong. Even I have custom interest, see for yourself here.

1. Click here to go to the user preferences page.
2. Copy the code in the text area and put it in your address bar:

3. Press Enter on your keyboard, or press go with your mouse.
   Scroll down to the interest section, instead of drop-down menus, there should be text areas. You can now type in your interst.
4. Submit your preferences.
